Cassidy's new B.A.R.S. album dropped last week. His 2005 I'm A Hustler album ended up being one of my favorite albums of that year so I was looking forward to hearing this follow-up. But while I was expecting more crossover thug bangers and slick verbals, Cassidy's near-death experience and time in prison has led to him making a more thoughtful and spiritual album... and I gotta say I'm disappointed. I understand why he made the album he did and I give him all the credit in the world for following his muse and using his experiences to try and create more positive art but sadly, it doesn't mean it's any good. Never thought I'd say this but Cass, bring back the ign'ant sh-t! For those who agree with me, here's a little treat:
