Now, I'm no gossip expert but I had to go in on this one because the word "media" was used unfairly by Selita Ebanks. Ebanks' claims in her latest blog post (which I haven't been able to verify because of her privacy settings on MySpace) that she actually said 'No' to Nick Cannon's proposal. Huh?
I HAVE TO CLEAR UP SOMETHING…..SELITA ENGAGED? NO WAY I must tell you, everyone thinks Nick and I are engaged but yet we are really not…I had to talk to him after the proposal because I felt he didn’t really do it for the right reasons…it was like a publicity stunt and all..I didn’t to much care for it at all…all I did was hug him and whispered in his ear “We truly need to talk for sure!…Which we did and this is why I’m not engaged right now! Thanks to you all for the blessings but I’m sorry the media had lead you astray! Don’t believe the hype of the media!
Don’t believe the hype of the media? She accepted Nick's 12-carat gold ring and joined him at an impromptu engagement party that was also attended by her brother and mother, and it's all media hype? The jumbotron with "Selita, will you marry me?" displayed on it is also a product of media hype? Either this is a bad joke or Selita suddenly realized that she didn't want to spend the rest of her life with a gigolo.
